About Kim

Kim Cowperthwaite has taught middle school in Maine for a dozen plus years and is a 7th grade English language arts teacher at Freeport Middle School in Freeport, Maine. She earned a B.A. in media communication from the University of Southern Maine, a teaching certification through the University of New England, and is currently a graduate student in the University of Maine's literacy education/writing program. She has two grown children: a daughter, Kari (25) and a son, Wesley (22). She lives in Windham, Maine with her husband, a Boston terrier, and one small dragon.
